Song Lyrics

In a stable long ago, a little child was born.
No fine cloth to wrap Him, His clothes were old and torn.
A baby small and fragile, as the world did ever see.
He shivered in the cool night air, the same as you and me.

Now who's there to worship Jesus?
Who sings glory at His birth?
Are you focusing on heavin,
or staring down at earth?
Are you singing hallelujah
on this Christmas eve and morn?
Are you thanking God the Father,
that His Son, a babe, was born.

When the baby hungered, He cried like you and me.
His mother held Him in her arms, Joseph looked to see.
Five toes on every foot, five fingers every hand.
His arms and legs were small and weak. He is the son of man.

Standing in the dark and cold, Joseph wondered and he stared.
Looked about the stable, he felt a little scared.
A mother and a child were looking to his face.
That God would send his only Son, to such a lowly place.

Suddenly the angels came, the sky shone like the sun.
Sing hallelujah, the Savior He has come!
Their song rang out loud and long, still the baby slept.
The majesty of God's own gift, trembling Joseph wept.

Do you know the Son of God, is also son of man?
Trying to imagine, young Jesus holds your hand.
While growing as a human, living as a man.
Salvation He did bring to us, according to God's plan.

Now I'm here to worship Jesus.
I sing glory at His birth.
I am focusing on heaven,
while standing on the earth.
I am singing halleleujah
on this Christmas eve and morn.
And I'm thanking God the Father,
that His Son, a babe, was born.
