We find ourselves ignoring Him
And following instead
The path He showed us yesterday
His message for today is lost
As we, with unbent wills
Refuse to hear Him say
The road of life may seem to be
A straight and narrow way
But Jesus says to follow Him
No matter, come what may
And if He shows us curves and bends
We need to understand
And follow new direction by the
Guiding of His hand
